I'm a self-taught seamstress with a lifelong passion for fabric and design. My sewing journey began as a little girl, sitting by my grandmother's side, learning the timeless art of stitching. Over the years, my love for sewing evolved into a fulfilling part of my life, particularly during my career as a French teacher.

While working at the high school level, I had the privilege of creating costumes for our school's musicals. It was here that I met two incredible women, Diane and Mary, who became my mentors, teaching me invaluable skills in sewing, fabric selection, pattern making, and costuming. Their guidance ignited my passion even further and opened up a world of creativity I never knew existed.

From there, I began altering prom gowns and formal wear for my students, and I quickly discovered the joy of helping people feel their best. I loved being able to act as a sort of “fairy godmother,” making sure each student looked stunning for their special occasions. Today, I continue to specialize in helping others feel confident and beautiful through custom alterations and better-fitting clothes.

When I'm not sewing for people, I've put my skills to work for animals, volunteering at an animal sanctuary. Whether it's repairing flysheets for draft horses, creating cooling blankets, or designing diaper harnesses for turkeys, I love using my sewing talents to make a difference for animals in need.

For me, sewing isn't just a craft—it's a way to connect with people (and animals), make them feel their best, and bring a little bit of magic into the world, one stitch at a time.
